What is the difference between a "member" and a "follower"
ReplyDeleteSorry for the slow response. Google and Blogger used to be two different companies until Google bought Blogger a few years ago. Blogger used the term "Follower" and Google uses the term "Member."
DeleteA "follower" is someone who clicks the "follow" link in the top left corner. A "member" is someone who clicks the "Join this Site" button on the right side column. They both do the same thing, more or less. It's like becoming someone's "friend" on Facebook.
Right now, this blog has no official followers or members but the stats show me that a small group of people are reading it. If they became followers or members then they wouldn't be so anonymous.
To make things worse, I've been calling everyone who reads the blog & book a "member" of the book club.
